When words fail us music can be a help in expressing our feelings. Thus music and choral singing are indispensable components of the Sunday morning service. The choice of songs is usually a spontaneous response and supplement to the spoken word. The choir sings with inspiration, thereby frequently touching the hearts of those who listen. Also, during the service, a contribution made with a musical instrument often provides a moment of inner tranquillity.
Most of the songs are written and composed within our own group and sometimes new words have been written to traditional melodies. These may be an expression of ideals and feelings of joy or of reflection, or they help give comfort and encouragement. The texts of the songs are regularly revised and adapted in accordance with the changing insights within The Apostolic Society.
The Apostolic Society is a contemporary religious community. We feel connected to the eternal mystery of creation, which we call God or Almighty.
In our Sunday services we reflect on values as sense of forgiving in the day tot day practice.
