What position does The Apostolic Society have within the multi-coloured map of religious faiths and philosophies in the Netherlands and the World. How did Apostolics picture God and the origin of life in the past, and how were they orientated with regard to general society? What is their vision now? What place will the Apostolic philosophy take in the future? Questions that call for deeper reflection.
The J.H. van Oosbree Lecture Foundation was instituted in order to promote a reflective process regarding the interaction of the Apostolic culture with other meaningful traditions. The name derives from Apostle J.H. van Oosbree (1862-1946), who gave an important impulse to the renewal of the Apostolic way of thinking in the 20th century. His birthdate is the first of April. Round this date or at other suitable times the J.H. van Oosbree Lecture foundation organises lectures about the Apostolic culture, in the broadest sense of the word, in context with other spiritual movements and developments in society in general. It ensures that the contents of these lectures are brought to the notice of people through various publications. The Apostolic Society provides support by facilitating these lectures.

The Apostolic Society is a contemporary religious community. We feel connected to the eternal mystery of creation, which we call God or Almighty.
In our Sunday services we reflect on values as sense of forgiving in the day tot day practice.
